Involving over 100 people- including 26 models, 24 performers, 7 speakers and over 50 backstage crew- the Re_Store Fashion Show 2026, held at the Corran Halls, was a real celebration of the wonderful community of Oban. For a small town on the west coast of Scotland, we are striving to have a big environmental impact. Re_Store is more than a charity shop- and we take pride in our efforts to address and promote sustainability. On 2nd April 2026, we hosted 60 people at our community dinner, showcasing food from Hope Kitchen, Green Shoots Community Garden and our Rescued Food Project, along with almost 200 attendees at our second sustainable, community Fashion Show. With over 80 second hand looks on the catwalk, including 26 upcycled garments- there was lots of choice for the audience to purchase at the Pop-Up Shop after the show Thanks to Beth Chalmers for capturing the joy of the evening in this film.
In October 2025, the Collective brought together local groups to host an event for pre-loved kids items. Donated clothes, shoes, toys, books and games were sold at affordable prices, raising funds for participating groups- and promoting a sustainable, circular economy. Fun was had on the day at the Rockfield Centre with lots of opportunities to play, create, learn, repair and upcycle a variety of things. Huge thanks to the participating groups and all the families involved: Re_Store, the GRAB Trust, Home Start Lorn, Oban Toy Cupboard, Oban Youth Cafe, Oban Baptist Church Uniform Hub, Adventure Oban, ReMake Argyll, the Beaches and Marine Litter Project, Rookhart Games and Art Explorers.
As our first large scale Fashion Show- this was an exciting event! A wonderful fashion show, showcasing sustainability and community. Held on 13th March 2025, we had a fabulous sold out event at the Rockfield Centre, including a wonderful dinner feeding 180 people celebrating the work of Hope Kitchen, Green Shoots Community Garden and the Rescued Food Project. Over 20 models and 20 more volunteers took part in the Fashion Show, which was a really fun and entertaining showcase of the achievements of the Re_Store shop and workshops over the first year of operation. New short films were shown about our Partners. Massive thanks to all the volunteers and staff who made this happen!
